Install

Akagi ships as a portable zip — one self-contained folder per platform. No installer.

  1. 01Download the zip for your OS from the Releases page.
  2. 02Unzip anywhere you have write permission (e.g. your home folder or Desktop).
  3. 03Run the binary. Config, logs, history, the CA cert and bots all live next to it.

Per-OS notes

  • Windows (x86_64): requires WebView2 (preinstalled on Win10 1803+/Win11). SmartScreen warns — More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS (Apple Silicon): unsigned — run "xattr -cr <folder>" once, or right-click → Open the first time.
  • Linux (x86_64): glibc 2.35+, and WebKit2GTK 4.1 (apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0).

First-run wizard

On first launch the Setup wizard walks you through language, platform, capture mode, AI options and — only for MITM mode — trusting the CA certificate. Chromium is the first-run capture default.

Chromium mode (no certificate)

  1. 01Settings → Capture → set Mode to Chromium.
  2. 02Click Detect to auto-find Chrome / Edge / Brave / Chromium.
  3. 03Akagi launches the browser with an isolated profile. Log in and play — frames are read over the DevTools Protocol.

MITM proxy note

Exclude localhost, 127.0.0.1 and ::1 from your proxy rules so the game’s local connections are not routed into Akagi.
